Don Zdan
Don Zdan is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Alliance Affiliate, Evolution MMA.
Don’s BJJ Journey:
- 2014: Started training at Alliance Jiu Jitsu, under Jason Sullins earning his purple belt
- 2016 Pioneered Alliance’s youth program – grew program 6x the original roster
Don’s philosophy on training children sets him apart from traditional youth programs, where he focuses on assisting the children and their parents in transitioning them into productive, positive, and confident members of society. His attention to the finer details of conditioning, mental / emotional growth, and technique allow any Jiu Jiteiro to flourish and grow. His previous military experience provides a unique teaching style and he always encourages fun and to enjoy the process from start to finish.
Throughout the years Don has competed in multiple IBJJF, TCO and other jiu jitsu tournaments. Improvement in himself and those he passes knowledge onto, both on and off the mat, is what drives Don most. His goal is to continue to train and/or teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu into his late 80’s and 90’s!
